Draco comes thru the floo, angry. He doesn't wait for the house elves to come but instead heads directly to your study and knocks harshly on the door.
Ana has been crying, and she hurriedly wipes her eyes and glares at the door. I'm not going to let him in. He won't see me like this! Curled into her chair in front of the computer with her knees hugged tightly to her chest.
He knocks on the door again, sneering. "Open the door, Ana. I know you're home." His voice is dangerously low and quick - commanding.
She hugs her knees to her chest even tighter, shivering, but doesn't say anything. Just go away!
After few more knocks he stops, cursing under his breath and glaring at the door. How dare she not let me in! He grins his teeth, getting angrier, but when he speaks his voice is cold. "Anastasia, if you do not open this door..."
Ana's eyes turn angry. He sounds like my father... he threatened to have my father come back and... "Go away, Malfoy." But as soon as she says it she regrets it, because her voice is trembling and she knows - knows - that she sounds just as weak as she feels.
And it's the tone of her voice that stops him, his hand stilling in the air where it was raised to begin knocking again. It hangs there in mid movement before dropping back to his side and he sighs, the anger rather surprising him by fading away. "Ana..." His voice still cold and this time it hurts him to hear it, and he softens..."Ana... open the door."
Pleading.. is that tone.. pleading? And that almost worries her more than his anger - her arm instinctively tightening around her legs again. "No.. Draco... Go away. It's none of your business."
He sighs - slumping against the door slightly and almost - almost - ashamed, because he knows he's gone about this wrong. But then he straightens. "Fine." And turns to leave - fully intending to find some other way to get Zabini to leave you alone.
