August 2. Before going to the Leaky Cauldron (the day that it is attacked and they are injured...) Ana and Theodore meet up in a bookshop in Knockturn Alley. PG.

Ana is dressed in light green robes, and she makes her way down Knockturn Alley a little before noon. She hadn't been sure if she should meet you, really, since you were with Pansy - and that odd feeling in her stomach when she thinks about that still bothers her - but you asked and so she is. She pushes inside the bookshoppe and begins slowly looking down each aisle, looking for you.

Theodore looks up from a book entitled Not Quite Unforgivable Curses and spots you walking down the aisle. He quickly closes the book, but doesn't return it to the shelf, and smiles slightly. "Ana. Glad you could make it."

Ana sees you and her mouth curls into a very very small smile as she walks down the aisle toward you. "Theo...I...where's Pansy?"

Theodore shrugs, unconcerned. "Somewhere... I'm not even sure if she's in the bookstore anymore. Said something about robes and meeting me at the Leaky Cauldron." He gestures to the shelves. "You won't find all of these titles at Flourish and Blotts."

Ana can't help but feeling a little better at that, and moves to stand next to you, very close, as she scans the titles. Most of them she recognises from her Father's library. "What are you... what are you looking for?"

Theodore shrugs again. "You know, just looking. They don't teach us all of this stuff at school." He trusts you, but he doesn't want to discuss why he's in a bookstore in Knockturn Alley right then and there.

Ana just nods, debating on wether or not to tell you her father has most of these books and that she would let you come and look thru them if you wanted to. She realises that she wants to do that to spend more time with you, but she resolves to tell you later. Instead she nods again, trailing her finger down the spine of a book that she doesn't recognise, and not looking at you because, for some horrible reason, she's afraid she's going to blush. "It's... good to see you again."

Theodore turns his attention fully on you. "It's good to see you, too." He was hoping you would stop by, but you didn't seem certain about whether or not you would when he talked to you.

Ana takes a short breath and turns to looks at you too, the small smile still there, but unsure. Her arms are tight around herself. This is the first time she's actually talked to someone openly in public like this that wasn't full of social posturing and false politeness. "Have you had a good day...with Pansy?"

Theodore smiles. "It was... amusing, to say the least. Her and Millicent are interesting to observe." He takes the book he was looking at and slips it back onto the shelf.

Ana just nods, and then looks down to her hands - wringing them in front of herself - not knowing what to say.

Theodore glances at the shelf one more time, and then back at you. "Want to walk around outside? I'm done in here."

Ana nods again and looks back up to you. She resists a very silly urge to take your hand as you two walk out of the store, and instead just brushes against you on her way to the door.

Theodore checks the time and says, "Actually, we had better go over to the Leaky Cauldron, see what this Slytherin meeting is all about." He falls into stride next to you, enjoying being in your company, out in public. He smiles a bit at the thought.

Ana looks down at her watch too, her eyes narrowing a bit at it because she would rather spend time with you than with all your housemates, but she nods and walks beside, you heading for the pub.
